2025 Pilot Installation and Results

July 2025.

Our 2024 Minke Marine Update described how this fundamentally different Air Lubrication System would complete a Pilot installation in 2025. The Installation is complete, and the results are in.

Installed aboard a 50,000 DWT BC during a regular dry-docking, using the vessel’s existing low-capacity equipment. Voyages have been completed, in ballast and in cargo, in a wide range of weather. The system is effective from the moment it is turned On – clearly shown in the cycled data presented below. The Minke Marine ALS is working straight out of the box, in cargo, in ballast, in rough and smooth conditions.

No compressors or blowers, no AI or Machine Learning.

Simply ON or OFF (not sure why you would turn it OFF).

Note: Vessel speed benefit not shown in the graphs. Higher capacity systems will provide increased benefits.

We want to continue our conversation with you

  • Completed for under $575,000 USD – Feasibility, Scan, Engineering, Installation, Commissioning
  • CAPEX and OPEX are extremely low – best in class ROI
  • Mechanically simple, minimally affected by weather or draft – maximum utilization
  • Real fuel savings across all sailing conditions – Better CII/EEXI, lower carbon costs
